Thakur Shobhasingh Mahavidyalaya Pathalgaon celebrated “Annual Festival” with great pomp.

Like every year, this year also the annual festival was organized by Government College Thakur Shobha Singh on Wednesday. During this time, Mrs. Kaushalya Sai, wife of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, was present as the chief guest in the program. The guests were welcomed through melodious songs by the students of the college. On this occasion, lamps were lit and garlands were laid on the photographs of Mata Saraswati, Swami Vivekananda, Chhattisgarh Mahtari. After which cultural programs were presented in an attractive manner. In which Suva dance, Karma dance, presentation of Arpa Parry's Dhar (state song), awareness of environment protection and dance on the theme of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, a spectacular presentation of live depiction on Swachh Bharat was given. On this occasion, Mrs. Kaushalya Sai was seen dancing vigorously with the students.

College Principal B.K. Rai said in the welcome address that like every year, this year too the annual festival has been organized by the college. Thakur Shobha Singh College was established in 1984. At that time the college had very few facilities. Gradually the college continued to develop with time. He said that when the college was established, only 125 students took admission. After which now the number of students in 2023 has reached 1385. Along with studies, students are also involved in sports. Recently, students in the division won 14 medals at the sector level, which is a matter of great pride. He said that the children who come from far away places are forced to pay 3 to 4 thousand rupees for their education in a rented house. Now that 40 years of college have passed, there is a great need for a hostel for boys and girls. He told the chief guest Mrs. Kaushalya Sai present on the stage that I would like to take cognizance of the application given by the children for hostel. After which Principal BK Rai expressed his gratitude to everyone.
